Connecting Cultures Since 1981

The Cowichan Intercultural Society has served newcomer families for 40 years. Together, with donors like you & partner organizations, we’ve helped 12,000 immigrants & refugees build a home in Cowichan.

Your donation directly benefits immigrants & refugee families in need. This includes licensed childcare, youth programs, homework help, summer camps, community connections & more.

The Cowichan Intercultural Society responded to COVID hardships with food programs, technology training, devices for remote learning & social connection. We transitioned to virtual delivery with Cyber Buddies a no-contact, student-led mentoring program and online English Language Mentoring. We personally reached out to every client to provide the service connectedness they needed.

And everyday, our organizations works to defeat racism and promote diversity and inclusion, the cornerstones of vital, welcoming communities.

Build the diverse Cowichan we believe in. Donate today!
